NXNE. part 2. hello from TORONTO.

So, it’s been 29 hours or so since I landed in Toronto for North by Northeast festival and I definitely have a couple of updates and thoughts.  In case you wanted me to share :).

Yesterday.  Thursday, March 16th.

• Landed (nice)
• Loved the water, and started loving Toronto
• Saw Decibel (NY band) at hard Luck
• Ran over to Free Times to check out the space
• Hung out with Toronto’s own Daniel McKenzie
• Stopped by Fran’s!!
• Saw the stunning University of Toronto Campus

Today.  Friday, June 17th.

• Went to St. Lawrence Market (awesome, huge, picked up some father’s day gifts)
• Stopped by a couple of music marketing sessions (you may see a couple of changes or two as a result)
• Had an interview with Indie Love Radio, http://www.indielove.ca
• Was lucky enough to catch a speed dating session with Universal Music Canada (amazing in theory though difficult if people don’t follow)

Tonight.  Friday, June 17th.

• Checking out Camlin’s Below New York (film about subway musicians in NYC)
• Meeting up with Daniel McKenzie

• FREE TIMES CAFE, 10pm, I’m performing at an official NXNE showcase. Cheers!
