So as some of you may know I’ve been doing open mics frequently over the past year and a half.  For a while I had cut back on the number of places I was into checking out, just because I had friends’ shows to go to or other things to take care of.  Well, recently, I’d say I’ve been doing more open mics than ever.  And, what’s so great about it is that through friends, I’ve discovered some truly amazing places, people, and music.  I’m loving it.  Really, I would recommend, whether you’re a musician or not, going to a NYC open mic sometime.  It’s a great experience, no guarantees other than that you’re sure to see some original performances, in many senses of the word.  That’s all I have to say right now, but I’m thinking I’m going to log on a bit later to tell you a little bit more.  ♥
